Discrete, cultured, elegant and immensely creative, design is his lifestyle. As if a tailor, the pampering, care, precision and creativity José Manuel Ferrero puts into all his projects has been unwavering for 20 years. A career inspired by his admiration for tailoring, specifically London’s famous street Savile Row and the textile industry of his native Ontinyent, as well as his passion for details and Anglo-Saxon culture, make for the perfect mix of conservatism and transgression as can be seen in the meticulous shapes, materials and textures used in his industrial design.
It could be said that the British term “Bespoke” is the dogma that governs all the work done by this Valencia-based industrial designer as he creates custom pieces and elements for each project to give them differentiating personality which is easily recognisable through tailoring-inspired storytelling. This approach has positioned him as a design reference not only in the furniture industry, but also in the home furnishings, furniture and equipment sector as a whole and has led him to converting his design atelier, estudi{H}ac, into a real reference in Spain and abroad, specialising in custom product design, interior design and exhibition projects. Spaces and products that are unique and timeless, all astonishing due to both the initial visual impact as well as the stories behind them. It’s a perfect balance that considers sustainability, technology and craftsmanship criteria without ever compromising on creativity.
Major industry prizes such as the GERMAN DESIGN AWARDS, IFF DESIGN AWARDS, RESTAURANT & BAR DESIGN AWARDS, ICFF NEW YORK, ADI and the award for the best NATIONAL DESIGNER in 2023 by the RBA Group magazine REVISTA INTERIORES, among others.
The experience of working over the last 20 years with a large variety of companies and institutions in different business areas allows him to offer flexibility and efficiency with each project in addition to a fresh and renewed vision for any company, product or brand. Always connected to an initial concept and using their creative freedom, José Manuel Ferrero and his team conceive a special story for each project with the confidence and capacity to produce a commercial project that truly meets each client’s needs as they get fully involved professionally and personally, learning first-hand about each client’s manufacturing processes and history, meeting their manufacturing and development (R&D) teams and gaining an understanding for their human values.

It is in this way that the products reflect their own personality without losing any of the essence for which they have been designed.
