Joan Cinca
Received an Enginering Degree from the Politechnic University of Catalonia and Higher Degree of Design from the School of Architecture in Barcelona. Later, interested in the business of companies, he acquired a Masters in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from the Pompeu Fabra University.
After being involved in the automotive industry for more than four years, he decided to jump into product design with Oriol Guimerà in Tactica studio. During those early years they developed a deep professional understanding, therby they decided to start up their own product design studio called guimeràicinca. Joan Cinca continues his activity - creating a new studio brand laproduqtora - providing product design and technical development support to help bring innovative products to market. In 2017 laproduqtora signed with Engi-Com a partnership agreement to complement its engineering services with product design and product strategy capabilities. During this stage he also collaborates with Dennis Park in some projects.
Combining his professional work, he has taught in several design schools as Elisava, Istituto Europeo di Design IED, Art and Design School of Terrassa, and some collaborations with The Llotja Advanced School of Art and Design.
Currently, he is collaborating with international companies oriented on business to consumer giving support in creativity and design management. His work has been exhibited internationally, at Salone Internazionale del Mobile of Milan, at Frankfurt Light & Building Fair, The Tokyo Design Week, The Red Dot Design Museum in Essen and Maison & Objects in Paris.
